As Nigeria battles intense heat, Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has sent a message to parents and schools.
She admonished parents and schools in a social media post to take extra precautions against the country’s intense heat.
Wumi, who recently celebrated her son’s birthday, urged parents to increase their children’s water intake, add extra water, and remind them to hydrate well and dress lightly.
“As a concerned mother, I appeal to our schools to take extra precautions during this period of intense heat.

Nigeria is experiencing severe, widespread heat driven by a strengthening El Niño and shifting seasonal weather patterns, with air temperatures soaring to 41°C in the northern regions and 39°C in the southern regions, compounded by high humidity.
