The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has highlighted its efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s democratic culture, promote cooperation among political parties and document the country’s political evolution under the leadership of its national chairman, Dr Yusuf M. Dantalle.
The council said its forthcoming landmark movie, “Unbroken: Two and a Half Decades”, would chronicle Nigeria’s 25-year political journey since the commencement of the Fourth Republic, describing the project as a significant milestone in its institutional development.
In a statement issued on Sunday to mark Dantalle’s 55th birthday, IPAC’s National Executive Council said the chairman had continued to advance the council’s mandate of promoting political tolerance, constructive engagement and inter-party dialogue.
The statement, signed by IPAC national publicity secretary, Comrade Egbeola Wale Martins, credited Dantalle with providing leadership that has sustained the council’s pursuit of democratic cooperation despite challenges.
IPAC’s recognition of these achievements comes as the council prepares to present Unbroken: Two and a Half Decades, a project that seeks to reflect on the country’s democratic journey and the experiences that have shaped the Fourth Republic.
While the council did not provide further details on the film’s premiere date in the statement, it described the production as a landmark initiative associated with its ongoing institutional development.
The National Executive Council reaffirmed its appreciation of Dantalle’s service, noting that his commitment to dialogue and cooperation remained important to the council’s efforts to deepen Nigeria’s democratic culture.
The statement also celebrated the chairman’s 55th birthday, wishing him good health, renewed strength, wisdom and greater accomplishments in his continued service to IPAC, Nigeria’s political community and the country.
IPAC is an umbrella body that brings political parties together to encourage dialogue, cooperation and engagement on issues affecting Nigeria’s democratic process.
